pink is the new awesome
ok, let's try this again and hope blogger doesn't eat this post too. for some reason, it appears that both blogger and george bush have something against unicorns!
anyhoo, i got a double treat yesterday when the unicorn pendant i ordered from rat girl goodies came in the mail and i discovered that krissy added these adorable stitch markers to my package! she's so sweet. i love them, and of course i love my unicorn pendant too. if pink is the new awesome, then pink + unicorn = super awesomeness.
speaking of awesomeness, tonight i'm having my second serving of the awesome vegan "macaroni hates cheese" (from the post punk kitchen) that trav made last night. i am officially declaring it to be the best vegan mac and cheese i've tasted. i'm so impressed with the recipe i think i'm going to make it for my book club potluck next week. oh, and the fact that it is really easy to make probably factors in somewhat. i just hope it tastes as good when i make it.

oh, it works! just figured i'd check back and see. the "ka-bosh" has been lifted off your blog, apparently (don't feel like looking up that word right yet). those are so super fancy crafts you got there! and you changed the title to "pink is the new awesome" ha HA!
i actually re-wrote the post from scratch. then i found out that the original post still survives somewhere in cyberspace but for some reason doesn't appear on my blog or in my list of posts. i can only access it through its web address. weird!
that is weird. i don't get that at all. sometimes i try to write a post (like my last one) and it says there's some kind of failure, but it doesn't return me to my editing page, so i have to write it over. mostly i know to write in word first, for anything, so that's a rare thing.
BUT...i came back here to say that aa followed a link from my blog to yours and then read your post and then went looking at that recipe and desiring it so we made it and it was SO GOOD!!!!
hey jen, i tried to comment a few days ago but for some reason blogger didn't like me. i'm so glad that you like the unicorn and stitch markers. (someday i'll actually learn to knit a pattern complicated enough to use stitch markers....) my favourite quote of the week is "pink is the new awesome", not that i keep track of favourite quotes or anything, but if i did that would be tops! i think you need to add a (tm) to the end of it before some corporation swipes it from you and passes it off as their own.
ps. i forgot to mention that i met a nice guy on veggiedate too. we dated for a little less than a year. but i actually met paul on nerve.com which i think shares the same "personals" as salon.com, bust.com and a few other cool sites.
yeah, i agree with krissy and with brittney from wardrobe remix -- t-shirts!
or pink lady jackets -- har (ha and har are my versions of "laughing out loud" -- I'm never going to be able to say that one...)
i would love a pink lady-style pink satin jacket that had my name embroidered on the lapel and said "pink is the new awesome" on the back. and it would be even better if a lot of you all had matching jackets and we were like a gang.
AND that would be a perfect opportunity for me to fulfill my life's dream to (apparently) spontaneously break out into a group dance number, like in grease... who's in?
that reminds me, i should change my profile - how could i forget about my spontaneous dance number?!
i'm in for a satin "pink is the new awesome" jacket and WAY in for a group dance a la "grease"!!
oh my! of course i'd be into the idea of lots of us having the same jacket --name across the lapel (script, i think) with "pink is the new awesome" on the back. woo!
i love how i make like i'm joking about something but really i mean it and am totally into it. like i'm shielding myself from people thinking i'm a dork. silly!
can't believe i forgot that OF COURSE i'm in for the group dance!!!
i'm totally into the jacket idea too, except i'm too lazy to actually do it.
but i'm totally serious about the group dance. i really am going to do that someday. the biggest hurdle is coming up with choreography (and of course getting a group of other people to learn it), once we have the choreography it'd be easy -- we'd practice in private and then find a good place to put the plan into action.
have you heard that there is a group of activists that do this... instead of protesting or whatever, they go out in public and break out into a group dance to get attention for their cause. one of my friends was telling me about them, but i can't remember the name of the group. how cool is that?
